The 2025 Panhellenic Congress on Health Economics and Policy will focus on the “Evidence-based resource allocation in Health Care” This year’s conference will focus on the essential elements of the decision-making processes—as well as the institutional safeguards—through which resource allocation within the health system can (and must) be aligned with the best available scientific evidence, as well as with societal values, preferences, priorities, and long-term objectives. Beyond its main theme, this year’s Congress will also address a wide range of themes and topics that are of critical importance for the future of the health care system.

The Congress, held in Athens, at Divani Caravel Hotel, from December 9th to 11th 2025, is organised by the Institute for Health Economics (i-hecon) and the Hellenic Society of Health Economics and Policy (EEEOPY) with the support of many renowned scientific bodies.

The Panhellenic Congress—founded and established as the main forum for dialogue on Health in Greece by Professor John Kyriopoulos—offers an interdisciplinary platform for the creation, presentation, and critical evaluation of the necessary interventions and policies for the health system and public health. A wide range of health system stakeholders including, leading health policy and social science academics and researchers, health professionals, patient representatives, health insurance and regulatory agencies, scientific organisations, senior government officials and politicians—from the national as well as the international setting—participate in the conference.

Official Language

The official language of the Congress will be Greek. There will be English to Greek interpretation & vice-versa for the sessions with foreign guest speakers.

Exhibition

There will be an on-site trade exhibition where healthcare organisations and companies from the fields of health, insurance and publishing will be represented.

Participants of the 2025 Congress are informed that, for promotional purposes:
a. Photographs will be taken in the conference rooms and common areas of the conference venue,

b. All sessions will be recorded on video,
c. Select session may be broadcast through live streaming,
