Ava Lloyd is Director, Government Affairs & Policy in AstraZeneca’s Europe and Canada (EUCAN) region, based in Zug, Switzerland. Ava leads on government affairs and policy strategies to support access and innovation across AstraZeneca’s biopharmaceutical business, driving key external partnerships and coordinating a network of government affairs teams in more than 30 local affiliates across the region. Prior to this, Ava was the Global Government Affairs & Policy Manager for AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine programme, and before that held roles of increasing responsibility in EU public affairs in Brussels. A dual British-Belgian national, Ava holds a dual MSc. in Health Policy, Planning & Financing from the London School of Economics (LSE) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc. Psychology from University College London (UCL).
