Hugh McGuire
Senior Advisor, NICE International & NICE Advice
Hugh is a Senior Adviser within the NICE International and NICE Advice team. Hugh leads technically on the NICE International services, with specialist knowledge of guideline development. He has 15 years’ experience developing clinical and public health guidelines for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in the UK. He also contributes to NICE International’s strategic objectives and the delivery of different international engagements through workshops, educational seminars, and international consultancy projects. He has extensive experience in delivering these services at both a national and international level. He has also completed all four level of the International Guideline Development Credentialing & Certification Program organised by the Guidelines International Network and McMaster University and is a frequent facilitator on this courses.
Hugh holds an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Westminster. Before joining NICE, he worked in evidence-based medicine with Cochrane.
