Dr. Sophia Papadakis is a Research Scientist in the Clinic of Social and Family Medicine, School of Medicine, at the University of Crete (Greece), Affiliate Researcher in the Division of Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, and Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa (Canada).
Dr. Papadakis received her Ph.D. in 2011 from the Faculty of Public Health at the University of Waterloo and holds a Master’s in Health Administration (2004).
Dr. Papadakis work is focussed on the design, delivery and evaluation of health behaviour change interventions, including addressing tobacco use in clinical and community settings. She has held multiple large research and knowledge translation grants and has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. Dr. Papadakis is also Academic and Health System Consultant with the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) in the United Kingdom.
